The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on individual needs and offer services that are grounded in several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This may involve providing the elderly with a safe and meaningful everyday life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, youth, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant, you will provide care and social support to those in need. You will work based on individual implementation plans and be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on interventions that promote the user's independence, security, and well-being.

Your tasks will include:

• Personal care and support in daily life
• Health and medical tasks as delegated
• Documentation in digital systems
• Support for relatives and collaboration with colleagues and other professionals

The work can take place in various types of operations, both in special housing for the elderly and short-term housing for the elderly. The work is scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends, depending on the needs of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a care assistant, you need a combination of professional knowledge, responsibility, and respectful interaction. You enjoy collaborating but are also comfortable working independently. Your engagement and sensitivity to the needs of others are crucial for success in this role.

We also expect you to have:

• A recognized care assistant education with proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• A valid driver's license (B) or cycling experience may be required depending on the operation.

Experience in elderly care is an advantage.
