About Salt & Sill

On the old herring island Klädesholmen outside Tjörn lies Salt & Sill, surrounded by Bohuslän's salty cliffs and skerries. We are Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the west coast's most appreciated archipelago destinations, with a hotel, conference, and restaurant – right by the dock.

Our business has been operated in its current form since the early 2000s and is characterized by a strong passion for food, people, and hospitality. The proximity to the sea and local ingredients permeates both our menus and guest experiences. We are a seasonal business with a high pace during parts of the year, where collaboration, responsibility, and engagement are crucial for the whole.

About the position

We are now looking for reinforcement for our reception and conference team starting in April. The position primarily involves extra work during the spring, with the possibility of more shifts and a larger scope during the summer, which is our peak season. Working hours vary throughout the season and are planned according to the needs of the business.

The employment is seasonal and extends over spring and summer, with the possibility of extension even after summer and into autumn.

How we usually describe the position

As a reception and conference host/hostess, you have a central role in the guest's experience with us. You are often the first and last person the guest meets and work closely with both the hotel, conference, and other departments. The role is varied and combines hospitality, structure, and service, with a focus on creating a good flow in everyday life and a personal experience for each guest.

Your responsibilities in the role

In the role, you are responsible for welcoming our guests at the reception, handling bookings, and check-in and check-out. You answer the phone and emails, provide clear information before and during the stay, and are an important contact person for our conference guests. You ensure that conference rooms and common areas are in order according to agreement and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and pleasant overall experience.

Who we believe you are

We believe you have experience from reception, conference, hotel, or other service-oriented businesses. You are comfortable communicating in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and have the ability to work structured even when the pace is high. You are service-oriented, solution-focused, and enjoy responsibility. Collaboration skills, flexibility, and a professional demeanor are important parts of the role.

With us, you will get

With us, you will have a varied and social job in a unique archipelago environment. You will become part of a family-like workplace where hospitality, collaboration, and engagement are at the center. The role offers flexibility throughout the season and the possibility of more shifts during the summer. Staff accommodation is available, and salary is according to agreement.

Practical information

The employment is seasonal with a start in April. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays and weekends, day and evening. A B driver's license and access to a car are required for the position.

Application Recruitment is ongoing, so we would like you to submit your application as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you and creating wonderful guest experiences at Salt & Sill together.
