Your Responsibilities

As a fiber technician at Halmstad's municipal network, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues to plan and carry out work in various locations and customer environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

Troubleshooting and fault resolution in the network
Installation, splicing, and termination of fiber
Blowing of fiber cables
Customer installations and assembly
Optimizations in existing fiber networks
Documentation and follow-up

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education, preferably with a technical focus, vocational school, or equivalent, and at least three years of experience in fiber work. You have very good knowledge of working in operational networks and are used to working with fiber blowing of both trunk and customer cables according to Robust fiber.

A driver's license (B) is a requirement, and you feel comfortable with computers and can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you are a certified fiber technician, have a BE driver's license, experience operating a mini-excavator, knowledge of dpcom, networking skills within CAT6, and previous experience working in HSAB's network.

The position involves evening and night work, and on-call duty may be included.

Halmstad's municipal network is a municipal company tasked with building infrastructure for businesses and households throughout Halmstad municipality. The goal is to create a good and future-proof IT infrastructure that allows everyone living and working in the municipality to communicate via fast broadband. Halmstad's municipal network is an open municipal network where a variety of service providers and operators deliver their services (including internet, TV, and telephony) in full competition to the customers of the municipal network.

The position is security classified, and therefore a separate security interview and background check will be conducted.
