We are now looking for a study and career counselor for 50% at Jättestenskolan. It is Grums Municipality's only school for grades 4-9 and is located in the town of Grums. The school has approximately 460 students distributed across 21 classes. Each class has its own mentors and a designated home classroom. The school also has adapted primary education. A sports and swimming hall is located within the school area, and sports fields, an ice rink, cross-country and orienteering tracks, as well as a library, are within walking distance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a study and career counselor at Jättestenskolan, you will work to develop and strengthen the study and career guidance within the framework of the ESF project Värmland guides. The project aims to enhance study and career guidance in schools, increase student motivation, and help students develop their decision-making skills.

The assignment involves supporting students in their study and career choices through guidance initiatives that provide them with better conditions to make informed choices based on their own interests, strengths, and future dreams. The work is conducted both individually and in groups and includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of activities related to the project's goals.

In this role, you will work closely with the school's regular study and career counselor and be part of a project group where collaboration, development of working methods, and exchange of experiences are a natural part of the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained study and career counselor or who is currently undergoing training to become one.

To succeed in this role, you have a professional and relationship-building approach. You contribute to creating a safe learning environment and build trusting relationships with students and colleagues, with mutual respect and collaboration as the foundation of your work.
