ABOUT THE POSITION

Vattenfall Services builds, maintains, and develops energy solutions for businesses and public sector. Their customers are found within electricity networks, energy, industry, municipalities, county councils, real estate, transport, and contracting. They are characterized by a safety and entrepreneurial spirit where creativity, independence, and results orientation are key concepts.

In the role of inspector, you will work with inspections of electricity poles, cable cabinets, network stations, and other electrical installations that are an important part of the electricity grid's function and safety. The work takes place mostly in the field, year-round, where you independently carry out inspections, identify any deficiencies, and document your work continuously in Vattenfall's systems. You will be part of a team of about 11 technicians who work with troubleshooting and maintenance of the electricity grid, together with project managers. The team is characterized by an open, positive, and unpretentious atmosphere where everyone helps each other and enjoys working together in everyday life. You will start from Lefflersgatan where your work vehicle is located and receive a list of tasks planned over approximately two weeks at a time, with support from the team leader. At the same time, the role entails a great deal of personal responsibility for planning routes and structuring your work effectively.

To give you the best possible conditions for success in the role, you will undergo an intensive training program at Vattenfall. The introduction includes training in inspection systems, protocols, ESA, and work on the road. You will have close support from both team leaders and colleagues, which provides you with a secure start and good opportunities to quickly get into the work and develop in the role.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Vattenfall Services. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least throughout 2026. There are very good chances for extension and direct recruitment, provided that there is room for it and that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

  • Inspection of electricity poles, cable cabinets, and network stations
  • Perform simple repairs as needed
  • Document and register inspections in digital systems
  • Plan and structure your work based on given tasks
  • Work closely with team leaders and, on longer stretches, with a colleague

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a high school education, preferably with a focus on electricity, electrical power, or similar
  • Has a manual B driver's license
  • Has the willingness and ability to work physically and outdoors year-round
  • Has previously worked with something practical
  • Has good computer skills and finds it easy to work in various digital systems
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as it is required to perform the work

It is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have:

  • Previous experience in inspection work
  • Electrical background or experience in electrical power
