The Municipal Executive Office is the administration of the Municipal Council and the City Council. The office also serves as the administration for the Integration and Labor Market Committee as well as the Water and Environment Committee.

The Municipal Executive Office consists of over 300 employees across 14 different operations. The office operates within a broad spectrum of areas and has several positions with specialist competencies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you also want to work in a workplace with wonderful colleagues who are passionate about service and order? We are currently looking for a temporary payroll administrator for the Payroll Center, could it be you?

The Payroll Center is part of the HR operations at the Municipal Executive Office and is responsible for the group-wide payroll management. Currently, 20 payroll administrators work in the unit to provide advice and support to the group's managers on all types of payroll issues.

As a payroll administrator, you will handle cases from our case management system and work with payroll preparation according to applicable laws and collective agreements. An important part of the role is quality assurance and control of salaries as well as reporting to authorities. The tasks also include phone support. Many of our processes are currently digitized and under constant development. Here, we work both independently and in teams, and you will have many internal and external contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in payroll and experience in qualified payroll work, preferably from the public sector. Experience with Visma Personec P is an advantage. Since the work has many points of contact, you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and have a strong service focus. As a payroll administrator, you need to be structured and able to plan your work effectively, especially since many tasks are governed by deadlines. We work in teams and place great importance on a positive work environment, so we expect you to contribute with engagement, teamwork skills, and a professional demeanor.

OTHER

Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permits before anyone is hired. This means that you, as an applicant, need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to present your residence and work permit.

As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace and are expected to contribute your work during heightened readiness.

Some positions within Kalmar Municipality are classified in security class, which means that a security review according to the Security Protection Act may be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
