ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you have education or experience in qualified laboratory operations? Are you self-driven and responsible, and do you enjoy working both independently and in a team? Then this might be your next job! One of our employees will be on parental leave, and we are looking for a laboratory assistant for the QC laboratory at The Absolut Company’s production unit Satelliten, in Åhus.

The position is a full-time temporary role for 12 months, working 2 shifts from Monday to Friday, starting in June 2026. The QC laboratory is accredited according to ISO 17025, and you will work in a team that is responsible for continuously supporting production by performing chemical and sensory analyses of ingredients and products. In the team, we work together to deliver accurate and high-quality analysis results on time.

You will, together with your shift colleague on the opposite shift, be responsible for the daily operations of the QC laboratory at the production facility.

Your main responsibilities include;

  • Performing chemical and sensory analyses, conducting tests, and evaluating and reporting results in the laboratory data system.
  • Maintenance and control of analytical instruments and evaluation and reporting of control results.
  • Conducting product reviews of finished products in their entirety as well as individual components.
  • Performing continuous evaluation and development of documentation, deviations, and working methods in the operational system.
  • Collaboration with other departments involved in quality assurance, product development, and production. For us, quality is an important part, and therefore it is essential to have a quality mindset in everything you do.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with a three-year natural science/technical high school education and a university degree in chemistry/biochemistry or several years of experience in qualified laboratory operations. Experience with analytical instruments and equipment in a laboratory environment such as GC-FID, UV spectrophotometer, and densitometer is required, as well as good computer skills and experience working with quality and/or sensory analysis. You should be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.

To succeed in this role, you need to be meticulous, responsible, analytical, good at creating structure, and able to work systematically. Furthermore, the position involves independent work, which makes it important that you are self-driven in your role and can take your own initiatives. The tasks also require good collaboration skills, the ability to absorb and share information, instructions, and expertise. You need to be flexible and prepared to handle new conditions and circumstances in your daily work, and you enjoy working both independently and in a team.
