Our homes are located throughout Malmö, where there are patients with dementia or patients with physical care needs. Working hours are between 14:00 and 23:00 with shifts every other weekend. As an evening nurse, you will be based in our facilities at Erikslust and Söderkullagatan. You will work with both fixed interventions, assessments, and urgent cases at our 39 care and nursing homes.

We offer you a varied job with the freedom to plan and structure your work independently. You will also have the opportunity for professional development through professional networks and further education to become a specialist nurse during working hours. As a new nurse with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction based on your needs, and a nursing colleague will act as your mentor throughout your first year.

Job Responsibilities

As an evening nurse, you are responsible for the care of the patients. This means that you independently assess, plan, and organize medical and care interventions. You are responsible for guiding and educating care staff. You work person-centered, involving the patient in decisions and collaborating closely with relatives and the team around the patient.

As an evening nurse, you will perform urgent and planned interventions in the care and nursing homes. You will collaborate with several actors according to the health and medical care agreement, which includes county councils, municipalities, and primary care, to meet the individual care needs. In our care and nursing homes, we work with quality assurance systems BPSD, Senior Alert, and the Palliative Register.

Qualifications

We are looking for a registered nurse with at least two years of work experience. In addition, you have:

  • Driver's license B
  • Good digital competence
  • Good insight into applicable legislation, establishing goals and guidelines
  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Previous experience working with multi-sick individuals and/or those with dementia
  • Specialist education in a relevant field
  • Good experience collaborating with other authorities and being part of various networks
  • Work experience in elderly care
  • Experience in municipal health and medical care
  • Knowledge of the documentation program Procapita
