The Women’s Health Care Unit (VO) has approximately 800 employees and consists of both gynecological and obstetric services in Lund and Malmö. As part of Skåne University Hospital (Sus), we also have assignments in development, education, and conduct successful research within the field. The specialist maternity care includes several specialized clinics, specialized maternity care for pregnant patients, acute obstetric care, ultrasound, blood flow, and social workers. Our services meet pregnant and newly delivered patients in need of advice, support, and care. Here you will meet both healthy pregnant women and those with complications, always focusing on accessibility and high-quality care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of midwife at the specialist maternity care clinic, you will work at the department's various clinics. It is valuable if you have experience in obstetric inpatient care and maternity care to be able to alternate and care for pregnant women visiting the Specialist Maternity Care Clinic with various types of issues.

The acute obstetric clinic is part of the specialist maternity care clinic. Most of your duties will be located at the acute clinic. Pregnant women who are referred from their midwifery clinic or other healthcare providers and need to be checked beyond standard maternity care will come to the acute clinic. In the role of midwife at the acute clinic, you will work with the management of complicated pregnancies and handle some patients independently and others in collaboration with doctors. An experienced nursing assistant also works at the clinic.

At the Specialist Maternity Care Midwifery Clinic, pregnant women with diabetes receive extended and specialized maternity care. The clinic is usually staffed with specialized midwives, but it is desirable that other midwives at the Specialist Maternity Care Clinic also have the competence to work at the midwifery clinic when needed.

The work as a midwife with us is responsible and varied, and the midwife's broad competence will be utilized. QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed midwife authorized to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. Having a combination of work experience in maternity care, delivery care, and prenatal care is an advantage for the position.
