Group Leaders for Investigation Operations

Are you ready for a bigger challenge? We are now looking for two group leaders for our investigation operations responsible for investigation and prosecution in our geography.

The Stockholm City Police Area is Stockholm's busiest police area where over a million people move every day. The Stockholm City Police Area is divided into three local police areas: Northern Inner City, Lidingö-Kungsholmen, and Södermalm. Within the local police area of Northern Inner City, there is intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are in a development and change phase and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of the future work where we need to see new opportunities to achieve greater operational effectiveness in our geography. We put the problem at the center, are proactive, and work together. You will become a leader in an important context and grow in the managerial role while also developing the entire local police area.

The assignment as group leader for the investigation operations: As a group leader for the investigation operations, you report to the local police area chief and the deputy local police area chief and are part of the local police area's management team, where you together are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the investigation operations within the area of investigation and its results. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating safety and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and attentive leadership with trust in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the assignment as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a team leader, project manager, or similar
  • experience participating in change and development work
  • experience in the relevant operational area
  • Police degree in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104)

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • experience leading others towards set goals and results
  • participated in management forums
  • management and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels
  • experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization
