About the position

In the role of security protection specialist, you contribute, together with your colleagues, to protect the electricity supply by analyzing current threats, vulnerabilities, and protection values for Svenska kraftnät as part of the security protection analysis work. Tasks related to incident reporting and investigation are also part of your daily routine.

You will also work with guidance and training, developing working methods and governance within security protection, as well as following up, controlling, and assessing security protection measures for Svenska kraftnät's operations.

In your role, you have many contact points internally within the authority, and you will have the opportunity to further develop within the security protection area both within the unit and through close collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues from various specialist competencies and backgrounds.

You will contribute to the important protection of critical infrastructure in a changing world.

The Business and Security Protection unit belongs to the Security section of the Security and Preparedness department. Currently, there are 12 people working in the unit along with the unit manager, consisting of both permanent employees and consultants.

About you

Requirements:

As a Security Protection Specialist, you need to have analytical skills, where you can carefully assess complex information, identify risks, and draw well-founded conclusions even when the data is extensive or unclear. You see patterns, connections, and consequences and can systematically translate analysis into concrete recommendations and actions.

You are collaborative and build sustainable relationships both internally and externally. The role involves cross-functional work, and you create trust by being attentive, communicative, and solution-focused. You actively contribute to collaboration and see teamwork as a central part of maintaining a high level of security protection.

As a person, you are structured and work methodically, planned, and with a good ability to prioritize. You ensure order and traceability in processes, assessments, and documentation — something that is crucial in a regulated and highly security-classified operation.

Furthermore, you are confident and stable, even in pressured or complex situations. You remain calm, make well-considered decisions, and stand firm in your assessments, even when challenged. You can distinguish between issues and people and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, which contributes to trust within the organization.

Additionally, you have:

• A degree in political science, law, security, or other work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Several years of relevant work experience in qualified analytical work (e.g., security protection analysis, risk and vulnerability analysis, security analysis), acquired within the last 5 years.
• Relevant experience in analytical or investigative work involving processing complex data and drafting written materials for the governance of security work.
• Very good ability to communicate and express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Below are desirable qualifications:

• Good knowledge of security protection legislation and its application.
• Experience working within government or public administration.
• Experience working in electricity supply or other critical infrastructure.
• Experience in designing and/or conducting training.

Good to know

• The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg.
• Possibility for remote work up to 2 days a week as long as the tasks allow.
• Travel may occur in this position (used as needed if relevant to the position).
