Position as Security Officer
The Swedish Customs actively works to create conditions for and develop security within its operations. The Administration Department plays a central role in this development.
The Security and Preparedness Unit of the Swedish Customs leads, coordinates, and controls the operational security, safety protection, signal protection, preparedness, and civil defense of the agency.
The Security and Preparedness Unit currently consists of 18 employees and is led by the Chief Security Officer of the Swedish Customs.

About the Position
As a Security Officer, you will participate in the security work of the Swedish Customs and will come into contact with both strategic and operational issues, primarily within the area of exposure to security-sensitive operations.
This means that you will, among other things, establish, manage, and follow up on security protection agreements. The position also includes conducting investigations and analyses, working with governing and supporting documents, and promoting increased knowledge and security awareness among the Swedish Customs' suppliers and partners.
Other tasks within the responsibilities of the Security and Preparedness Unit may also occur.
The role involves collaboration and cooperation both internally at the Swedish Customs and with external suppliers and partners.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in the field of security or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Customs deems relevant for the role
- Several years of experience in exposure to security-sensitive operations and security-protected procurement (SUA)
- Good knowledge of the Office suite
- Very good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
It is meritorious if you have:
- Training as a security/security protection officer
- Training in the area of exposure to security-sensitive operations
- Training in the area of personnel security
- Signal protection training
- Experience in developing specific security protection assessments
- Experience working with threats and risk assessments
- Experience in shaping and writing governing and supporting documents

Employment form: The employment is a permanent position that begins with a 6-month probationary period, and individual salary setting applies.

Security clearance with a register check according to the security protection law will be conducted before employment, as the position is placed in a security class. The Swedish Customs is a total defense authority, and upon employment, you may be placed in a military role within the Swedish Customs.
