Information Security Specialist at Fortifikationsverket
Fortifikationsverket is seeking an information security specialist for the information security group. This role represents the authority in operational and security protection with a focus on information security. Your daily work – strengthening security in total defense
The information security group belongs to the security protection unit and works under the security protection manager with focused, supportive, and follow-up security protection work at the authority. The unit is primarily responsible for the areas of information security and physical security.
As an information security specialist, you are expected to participate in the systematic information security work at the authority and help develop the protection of Sweden's security. You are expected to work both independently and in teams, focusing particularly on being a senior advisor in the subject area. You will play an active role in the further development of information security work at an advanced level. You are responsible for driving your own projects, identifying development needs, preparing and presenting materials, as well as setting requirements and following up on new information systems (accreditation). You will quality assure and review security measures in information systems to protect information based on its protection level and participate in projects to develop the authority's NATO mission. You will develop methods to identify protection values based on best practices and conduct assessments and risk analyses.
You are expected to disseminate your knowledge internally and externally by informing, educating, arranging lectures/training, and conducting workshops in information security. The role includes responsibility for creating new advanced-level training, contributing to environmental monitoring in the area, legislative monitoring, and deepening in new frameworks, as well as participating in consultation work. The position involves many points of contact and collaborations both within and outside the authority.
Travel is required in the position and can be planned. The headquarters is in Eskilstuna, and therefore you are expected to work from the office, but hybrid work is possible.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic background in social sciences, law, or technical fields, or equivalent competence in information security that is deemed comparable. You have qualified knowledge of legislation, standards, vulnerabilities, and protective measures regarding information security and IT security. You have experience in systematic information security work and good knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations in information security. You also have experience in security protection work and the Swedish Armed Forces' or Säpo's regulations regarding security protection, as well as experience with KSF 3.1, ISO 27000 series, etc. You have good administrative skills, good IT skills as a user of support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written forms. A class B driver's license is required.
Experience with NATO work is an advantage.

You are structured, analytical, self-driven, and have patience and the ability to work strategically towards long-term goals. To succeed in the role, you need to be persistent and engaged in driving your own work and the organization's work forward. You have a high security awareness with integrity and good judgment and a pronounced drive to help protect Sweden's security.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna or as agreed. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
