Information Security Coordinator

Fortifikationsverket is seeking an Information Security Coordinator for the Information Security Group. This role represents the authority in operational and security protection with a focus on information security. Your Daily Work – Strengthening Security in Total Defense

The Information Security Group belongs to the Security Protection Unit and works under the Security Protection Chief with focused, supportive, and follow-up security protection work within the authority.

As an Information Security Coordinator, you will work on developing and implementing systematic information security efforts. The position has a business development role but also supports operations through operational work, primarily by supporting and leading information security efforts with a focus on the IT security technical side. The position will also develop the authority's work with information security analyses, control, follow-up, and implementation of security measures related to information classification. The position will also handle and coordinate major incidents. You will participate in setting requirements and following up on new information systems. In this role, you are expected to independently drive your own projects and identify development needs, as well as prepare and present materials for decision-making. The position involves many contact points and collaborations, and in this role, you will focus on the IT department.

You are expected to share your knowledge internally and externally by informing, educating, arranging lectures/trainings, and conducting workshops on information security. The role includes responsibility for creating new advanced-level training, contributing to environmental monitoring in the field, and participating in referral work.

Travel is required for the position and can be planned. The main office is in Eskilstuna, and therefore you are expected to work from the office, but hybrid work is possible.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant university education or equivalent competence in information security that is deemed comparable. You have knowledge of the Armed Forces or Security Service regulations regarding security protection and experience working with security-classified information and in security-sensitive operations. You have an understanding of systematic information security work and good knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations in information security. You have a good understanding of IT security technical requirements and can implement these requirements in practice.

You also have knowledge of the ISO 27000 series and other relevant standards, as well as knowledge of public access and confidentiality legislation. You have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A Class B driver's license is required.

Experience in defense-related operations is an advantage.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna or as agreed. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
