IT Service Administrator at the County Administrative Board of Västmanland

Responsibilities

As an IT Service Administrator with us, you will play a central role in ensuring that the authority's digital environment is safe, stable, and well-functioning. You will work closely with the operations and become an important part of our work with information security, access management, and technical support. The role combines practical IT support with administrative tasks that contribute to ensuring that our systems and users comply with the requirements placed on an authority with high security levels. You will be one of those who ensure that the right people have the right access, that equipment is handled correctly throughout its lifecycle, and that our employees receive the support they need to perform their socially important tasks.

This role includes, among other things:

• ensuring correct access management, including ordering, follow-up, and regular checks based on information security requirements
• administering user accounts and licenses in our systems and portals
• supporting the operations during new hires and terminations, for example by assigning or reclaiming equipment and ensuring that procedures are followed
• collaborating with IT coordinators, security functions, and external suppliers to maintain a secure and stable IT environment
• contributing to order and structure in the management of IT equipment, including simpler purchases and inventory management
• other security work and internal service tasks

The days here go by quickly, and sometimes new challenges arise at short notice. This is the charm of this position. We offer you more long-term tasks with a focus on development, mixed with more urgent matters that mean other things may have to take a back seat. The role also includes supporting colleagues in other tasks as needed, contributing to both variation and good collaboration in everyday life.

Qualifications

• Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Experience working with information security and how security requirements affect work methods and routines
• Experience in a similar role focusing on IT and technology-related support
• Experience with administrative tasks
• Good knowledge of Office programs

It is meritorious to have

• experience of government work
• experience writing reports or analyses
• relevant post-secondary education for the position
