About the job as a System Engineer:

As a System Engineer at Siemens Energy, through us at Jefferson Wells, you will be part of a growing team of engineers working with both Fire & Gas and Gear systems. The team currently consists of engineers from both Sweden and India, characterized by a collaborative culture with an open and supportive climate.

In this role, you will have a central position where you are responsible for the technical requirements of the Gear system and ensure that the solutions meet both customer and company standards. You will work closely with internal disciplines such as installation, electrical, and control systems, as well as external suppliers, focusing on quality, efficiency, and technical development.

Common tasks include:

  • Responsible for the Gear system and ensuring that the project's technical requirements are met.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions from suppliers and development and standards teams.
  • Drive good and professional collaboration with suppliers and internal interfaces.
  • Provide technical solutions and manage the system's economics within the project.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and contribute to effective project deliveries.
  • Provide quick and qualified support during troubleshooting in dialogue with project managers.

The candidate we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with a background in mechanics or equivalent technical education who wants to further develop in a responsible and technology-oriented role. To succeed in this role, we believe you are curious, solution-oriented, and have a natural desire to collaborate with both colleagues and external parties from various technical disciplines.

We would like you to have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Several years of relevant work experience in technology, systems development, or mechanics.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and a great focus on product quality.
  • The ability and interest to communicate with people from different cultures and technical backgrounds.
  • Drive and curiosity to develop and work towards the best technical solutions.
