About the assignment

The Mälarbanan program is one of Sweden's most extensive railway projects, expanding from two to four tracks, with new stations and extensive tunnel and construction work in a dense urban environment. We are now looking for a senior construction manager with a focus on concrete for a consulting assignment where you will contribute to a technically complex project with high demands on planning, coordination, and quality.

About the role

As a senior construction manager and technical advisor, you are a key person in the execution. You drive production forward, support project management in technical and operational issues, and contribute to ensuring that the work is conducted in a structured, safe manner and in accordance with the contract.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Driving and following up on production within your area of responsibility
• Ensuring that work is performed according to contract, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
• Participating in technical solutions and production planning
• Coordinating stakeholders and contributing to effective collaboration between contractors and the project organization
• Identifying and managing risks as well as contributing to forecasts and follow-ups
• Supporting the project manager with decision-making materials and ongoing reporting
• Ensuring correct documentation, self-checks, and follow-up of deviations
• Participating in and, if necessary, leading relevant meetings and following up on decisions
• Promoting a safe working environment and conducting safety and environmental inspections

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. University/college education equivalent to a Swedish civil engineering degree with relevant specialization or equivalent education and experience that can be assessed as equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration.
2. At least 5 years of experience in the role of construction manager concerning construction projects involving heavy concrete structures. The experience must not be older than 10 years.
3. At least 15 years of experience in concrete work in large infrastructure projects involving bridges or tunnels. You should have held the role of production manager, site manager, or foreman.
4. Knowledge of relevant standard agreements such as AB 04.
5. Documented good knowledge of AMA.
6. Knowledge of concrete according to competence class 1.
7. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than 26-03-30 until 2027-03-31 from the time the contract comes into effect.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract under existing contractual terms for an additional up to 7 years with an extension period of 1 or 2 years at a time.

Scope: The estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 40-60%.
