Dedicated Childcare Worker Wanted for Adapted Primary School
An adapted primary school is looking for a dedicated childcare worker to work in after-school care and contribute to the development of students. Do you want to help create safe and stimulating environments for our students? Then we need you! Welcome to our team!
Job Responsibilities
As a childcare worker at an adapted primary school, you will work with children in after-school care. You will work closely with the special education teacher who plans the teaching. You will conduct activities that promote students' learning and social development. You will collaborate with special education teachers and other staff to ensure a holistic, inclusive, and safe environment where all children feel welcome and thrive. You will also provide support in students' social and personal development while contributing your knowledge and experience to strengthen the after-school program's mission. An important part of the role is also to work closely with both colleagues and parents to create the best possible conditions for students' well-being and development.
About the Workplace
The main task of the Department of Education and Childcare is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment where we prepare children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and recreational activities for all residents.
The adapted primary school is part of Vanstaskolan and is located in Ösmo, serving 30 students in grades 1-9. The guiding principles for the school are camaraderie, challenge, curiosity, cooperation, creativity, activity, and progression, meaning "knowledge creates opportunities".

What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Childcare education
- Experience working in an adapted primary school
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of the curriculum for after-school care
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience in conducting organized break activities
- Knowledge of TAKK
- Knowledge of diabetes, epilepsy

With your experience and commitment, you contribute to a stimulating and safe environment for the students. You have strong collaboration skills and enjoy working to create good relationships with both children and colleagues.
