For Saab Surveillance, we are now seeking a consultant in Advanced Composites for an exciting assignment in an environment where technology development and future systems are at the center. You will belong to the Advanced Composites section, which supports all product areas within the airborne, maritime, and land-based domains.

The section works broadly with composites - from manufacturing and repair to material qualification and calculation methodology. Currently, several strategic initiatives are underway in the composite area where manufacturing processes and material issues are crucial.

You will become part of the Material & Process team and actively contribute to the introduction of new materials, development of material systems, and associated processes, as well as Saab's long-term technology development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of Saab's world-leading radar products.

Responsibilities

In this assignment, you will among other things:

• Work with manufacturing processes and quality issues in close collaboration with suppliers (travel may occur and work may partially take place at subcontractors)
• Support product development in all phases - from concept and system design to detailed design, verification, and delivery
• Participate in and conduct testing campaigns
• Develop and write material and process specifications
• Contribute to and drive technology development in the composite area

Your profile

The assignment is carried out independently but in close collaboration with an experienced and cohesive team. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is confident in their skills, has self-drive, and thrives in an environment where collaboration, communication, and accountability are central.

We see that you have:

• Strong knowledge in composite manufacturing (experience from the aerospace industry is an advantage)
• University degree in fiber composites or equivalent
• Practical experience in composite manufacturing, material testing, and/or product development within the industry
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Security clearance

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
