We are now looking for a Material Engineer in Additive Manufacturing for our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy sector, for an assignment at their site in Finspång. Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the current and future needs of the market. Through this assignment, you will have the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment with many development opportunities. Initially, this is a consulting assignment for 6 months via Unik Resurs, with a very good possibility of extension. We apply ongoing selection, which means that the assignment may be filled earlier than the application deadline.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Material Engineer in Additive Manufacturing, you will be an important part of our research and development team. You will work with material analysis and process development of metallic components manufactured using additive manufacturing (AM).

Your main tasks include:

Conduct metallurgical investigations of metal parts produced with AM
Perform microstructure analyses and mechanical tests using established laboratory methods
Participate in the development of processes for series production of 3D-printed metal components
Document results in a clear and structured manner
Collaborate with experienced materials engineers and cross-functional teams in a dynamic and research-driven environment

Your Profile

Master's degree in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, or a related field
Strong theoretical knowledge of metallic materials and manufacturing processes
Desirable if you have good knowledge of additive manufacturing
No previous work experience required – recent graduates are warmly welcomed
Excellent communication skills in English (professional level)
Swedish language skills are an advantage
Good planning and organizational skills
A meticulous, systematic approach and a strong willingness to learn
