As a Quality Engineer within the Business Unit Missile Systems at Saab Dynamics, you will play a central role in a cross-functional team working with subsystems such as control, power, sensor, and electronic modules. The role gives you the chance to make a real difference in an engaged and growing team that is passionate about quality and innovation.About SAAB Dynamics: Saab Dynamics is a business area within Saab AB that focuses on the development and production of advanced weapon systems for both military and civilian applications. The operations include support weapons (such as Carl-Gustaf and AT4), missile systems (for example, RBS 70 and RBS 15), torpedoes, sensors, camouflage systems, and unmanned underwater vehicles. The headquarters is located in Karlskoga, but Saab Dynamics also has operations in other Swedish locations, including Linköping and Boden.
The Business Unit Missile Systems within Saab Dynamics develops and produces advanced weapon systems such as NLAW, RBS 70, and RBS 15. They are responsible for the entire chain – from concept and design to production, integration, and testing. The Subsystems area focuses on the subsystems included in these weapon systems, such as control, power, sensors, and electronic modules. Here, work is done on the design, verification, and integration of these technical components to ensure that the whole system functions in demanding environments.
The Role As a Quality Engineer, you have a central role in supporting production in managing quality deviations. You work cross-functionally and are responsible for developing, preparing, and defining quality processes, quality assurance, and quality controls in production. The role involves both driving and participating in improvement projects across various production areas, as well as supporting and driving quality issues in different forums.
The work places a strong focus on root cause analysis, where you identify the most critical defects and analyze why they occur. You work with documentation, but also analyze patterns over time, such as recurring deviations and correlations between different problems. The role involves an analytical approach with a lot of statistics and the use of quality methods to ensure that the right root cause is identified and addressed.
About the Team:The workgroup consists of about ten people, including quality technicians who work operationally in production and quality engineers with a more overarching responsibility for deviations, documentation, and long-term improvement projects. The team is characterized by an inclusive climate with many young employees and a balanced gender distribution, and in this recruitment, we are looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience in production or quality who wants to develop in an engaged and growing group.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Relevant YH/University/Civil Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, production technology, electrical engineering, or other relevant education
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in production and quality
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Knowledge of quality systems and quality standards
- Experience working with areas such as Lean and root cause analysis.
- Experience working with development
- Experience leading people
