About the Position

At FOI in Linköping, there is one of Europe's first and largest cyber facilities – a simulation facility where IT and OT environments are integrated into various cybersecurity scenarios. As a system architect with us, you will primarily work on environment and tool development in the cyber facility and on evaluating technologies and systems. You will have the opportunity to contribute throughout the chain from requirements gathering and prototyping for both internal and external stakeholders to sharp implementation. You will work with Linux/Windows-based IT systems that are largely virtualized and you will contribute to development and automation that supports efficient use of the facilities. You will work closely with our cyber defense researchers to develop and execute scenarios and applications for experiments and exercises.

About the Unit

You will be part of the cyber facility technology unit, which belongs to Cyber Defense and Command Technology. The operation aims to develop the Crate platform, a framework and infrastructure for cyber facilities. Research and application focus on technologies and infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation. The unit also instantiates, operates, and manages instances of Crate used for exercises, trials, and experiments.
