As a mechanical designer, you are employed as a consultant at Avalon and work on product development assignments for one of our clients. If you enjoy variety, you will thrive as a consultant. You can work in different industries, with various products, materials, and client teams. In one assignment, you might work with plastic, and in the next with sheet metal or castings. You could work on large welded structures, critical societal solutions, or even assignments within the space industry. Or do you want to dig deeper to specialize? In the role of mechanical designer, you will work with requirements management, specifications, design, and documentation, as well as providing support to less experienced designers.

We are a small, tight-knit team in Linköping who enjoy meeting at the office or for activities. We share tips, experiences, and jokes. The group has a fun collection of hobbies that we are happy to tell you more about. How about playing board games, painting watercolors, riding motorcycles, photography, taking aerial photos with drones, walking dogs, eating cookies (including almond cakes), cycling, drinking beer, or attending concerts with very niche and broad post-punk-EBM-pop-darkwave-ballad-rock?

• Good communication skills and a humble approach to challenges.

• A degree in engineering at the university or master's level (or equivalent work experience as a mechanical designer).

• At least 4 years of work experience as a mechanical designer.

• Experience with Catia, Creo, or NX.

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

• In this position, you will work with security-classified companies that conduct a security review. This also means you need to have Swedish citizenship.
