Your Role

As an engineer with us, you will be part of a team focused on the development and procurement of tools and ground equipment for the Swedish Armed Forces' flying systems. You will have a varied job where you provide technical support directly to our customers regarding both upcoming and existing equipment for the maintenance of aircraft and helicopters.

You will manage several smaller projects simultaneously and lead yourself from proposal to delivery. Your work will include calculating, managing customer requirements, and ensuring delivery. You will collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal functions to ensure that the right equipment is in place so that preventive and corrective maintenance can be carried out for our customers, end-users, and operators.

The role may involve travel to our sections in other locations as well as to customers and the Armed Forces' units. The position is located in Malmslätt, Linköping.

The Aircraft Mechanics and Logistics section is part of the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) department. The department works with business directed towards the maintenance systems for Gripen, the Armed Forces' aircraft and helicopters, as well as facilities and hangars, with operations in Linköping, Arboga, and Östersund.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who appreciates varied tasks and wants to be a natural part of a team. You take initiative and drive projects towards the customer in an independent and organized manner while maintaining good customer relationships.

You have a university degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways, such as being a technician with several years of relevant work experience. Experience from a broad technical or manufacturing area is an advantage.

You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and have a driving license with at least category B.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has security clearance requirements, this may involve requirements for specific citizenship.
