We are looking for a Construction Manager for the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the construction manager means contributing knowledge and expertise to the Lock Program Trollhätte Canal as a resource consultant within the Swedish Transport Administration. The assignment is carried out within a TEM contract and includes responsibility for planning, leading, and following up production safely and efficiently in accordance with project requirements, resources, and regulations. The role is part of the client organization for the E11 New Lock and Fairway project in Lilla Edet and is conducted in close cooperation with the contractor, with responsibility throughout the construction process from design to handover.

Responsibilities

• Act as a construction manager within the Lock Program Trollhätte Canal in the TEM contract and, if necessary, support Road and Water within Major Projects according to the specified workload • Contribute to knowledge transfer to employees of the Swedish Transport Administration • Plan, lead, and follow up production safely and efficiently according to project requirements, resources, and regulations • Be part of the client organization for the E11 New Lock and Fairway project in Lilla Edet and work closely and co-located with the contractor • Actively work in both Phase 1 (ABK09) and Phase 2 (ABT06) • Work directly under the project manager and be the client’s counterpart to the contractor’s production/site manager • Follow up the contractor’s performance regarding time, cost, content, quality, and control plan • Steer towards production-efficient solutions and make production technical decisions within the given mandate • Lead and coordinate the client’s site organization including construction management, environment, measurement, and production project engineer • Be responsible for information dissemination, meetings, and daily work within the construction management organization • Drive follow-up of schedules, forecasts, calculations, and risks related to progress • Be responsible for risk and safety work in production including risk lists • Be responsible for rounds, inspections, tests, work preparations, and audits • Handle notifications, changes, invoice reviews, and related documentation • Mentor and develop the production project engineer • Participate in design and contribute construction technical expertise • Participate in the preparation of tender documents for preparatory contracts • Drive work on environmental permits and environmental impacts regarding vibrations, movements, groundwater, and environment together with relevant functions • Drive final documentation, handover to the Maritime Administration, and inspection work together with the contracted inspector • Participate in coordination meetings, organizational discussions, and meetings with project stakeholders

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

A degree from a technical university or a combination of education and work experience that the Swedish Transport Administration assesses as equivalent in the technical field of land, geotechnics, construction, concrete, or foundation engineering.

Good knowledge and experience of AMA Construction, good knowledge of construction law (AB/ABT).

At least three years of production experience in infrastructure construction projects as a contractor in a supervisory position.

At least five years of experience in the role of coordinated construction manager/construction manager on the client side in infrastructure construction projects where management and planning for construction management, coordination of changes and notifications, review of the contractor's KMA documents, and ongoing work with supervision and control plans have been included.

At least three years of experience in infrastructure construction projects in collaboration. Collaboration refers to the principles described in chapter 6.2.3 Examples of collaboration tools in TDOK 2023:0246 Collaboration in contracts and technical consulting services.

You have more than five years of experience in the role of coordinated construction manager/construction manager on the client side in infrastructure construction projects where management and planning for construction management, coordination of changes and notifications, review of the contractor's KMA documents, and ongoing work with supervision and control plans have been included.
