Project Manager at Ivar Kjellberg

About the Role

As a Project Manager at Ivar Kjellberg, you will lead and drive construction and development projects with a focus on economy, quality, sustainability, and time. The role includes both new production, renovation, and maintenance projects and involves close collaboration with both internal functions and external contractors, consultants, and authorities.

You will report to the Project Manager and are expected to actively contribute to the company's overall strategy and long-term goals. The role is broad and varied, with significant personal responsibility and the opportunity to influence both working methods and project design.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving projects through the entire process – from feasibility studies, calculations, and procurement to production, handover, and follow-up. You will prepare investment calculations and business decision support and ensure that projects are executed within the approved frameworks for budget, time, and quality. Monitoring costs, forecasts, and reporting to the Project Manager is a natural part of your work.

You will also contribute to the development and improvement of the company's project management by supporting the creation and further development of templates, design guidelines, project handbooks, and other relevant governing documents. The role also includes supporting the rest of the organization in project, technical, and contracting issues.

Furthermore, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders in the projects, such as management, technical teams, contractors, consultants, authorities, and, where applicable, residents. You will actively work to ensure that projects are characterized by long-term sustainable solutions – environmentally, technically, and economically – and participate in the development of both maintenance plans and long-term investment plans.

Your Profile

We are looking for a structured and business-driven project manager with a strong interest in construction and real estate development. You have the ability to take responsibility for the whole, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and create good collaborations with various stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Relevant university degree in construction, real estate, or engineering
• At least five years of experience in project management within construction or real estate development, preferably in a client role and focused on renovation and maintenance
• Good knowledge of contract law (AB/ABT), procurement, finance, and the construction process
• Good understanding of construction technology, materials, and technical solutions
• Experience with residential projects (meritorious)
• Familiarity with project management tools and financial monitoring
• Good IT maturity and interest in digital working methods
• Driver's license B
