Job Responsibilities

As a construction worker, you will work with both repair, maintenance, and renewal of Gothenburg's water and sewage network. It is a varied and independent job where you plan and perform pipe laying work based on construction documents and production plans.

You will, among other things:

• Excavate and lay pipes according to AMA and construction documents
• Restore land after completed water and sewage work
• Work both with planned and event-driven emergency interventions.
• Conduct risk assessments, follow and take safety measures according to the work environment plan.

You will work in a team of three (two pipe layers and one excavator operator), and we rotate teams to strengthen community, learning, and work environment. Colleagues regularly highlight collaboration as the best part of the job.

In the long term, on-call duty will be included in the position, in accordance with the on-call plan.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work together with others, takes responsibility, and is solution-oriented. You thrive in a daily routine where no day is the same and where your work truly makes a difference.

You have:

• Experience from the construction or civil engineering industry
• Driver's license B
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Meritorious:

• Driver's license C
• Machine operator certificate
• Training such as PE welding, Hot work, Safe lifting, trench safety, work in trafficked environments, etc.

The position is security classified, which means a background check via the Security Police and alcohol and drug testing before employment.
