Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

The health and medical care unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and ordinary housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a nurse for our Memory Team in Ystad municipality, a role where you will have the opportunity to meet people in their everyday lives and contribute to safety, quality, and quality of life for individuals with cognitive illness.

You will work in ordinary housing and be part of a competent and well-functioning team with three other nurses. As a nurse in the Memory Team, you have an independent and responsible role where you assess, plan, implement, and follow up on care interventions based on the patient's needs. You perform medical assessments, coordinate interventions around the patient, and are responsible for delegation. The role also includes supervising nursing students, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the future of healthcare.

A central part of the work is to plan and coordinate health and medical care interventions with a holistic view of the individual. You have a close and significant contact with relatives and create security through attentiveness, clear communication, and a warm approach, which you see as a natural and meaningful part of your assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Licensed Nurse with experience in the profession.
  • Driver's license (B).
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience in care and support for individuals with cognitive illness is considered an advantage.

To thrive in the role of a nurse, you need to be meticulous, adaptable to situations, and have a holistic view of the patients' needs. The work as a nurse with us requires both decisiveness and analytical thinking.

Working hours are weekdays with service two out of ten weekends. During the weekend, you will work throughout the municipality, including special and ordinary housing as well as LSS and social psychiatry.
