The adult psychiatry area in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is provided in Helsingborg. We provide specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with severe mental health issues. The catchment area consists of ten municipalities in northwestern Skåne, with which we have a good collaboration through cooperation meetings and care planning.

Department 56 is a general psychiatric emergency care unit for inpatient care and an educational and development department aimed at patients over 18 years old. With us, patients are treated for conditions and illnesses across the entire psychiatric diagnostic spectrum. We also have a special assignment for specialized eating disorder care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome two new nursing colleagues to our department!

In your role with us, you will work as a nursing responsible in a team together with caregivers/nursing assistants, where you will also be responsible for care planning for your patients. You will collaborate closely with both patients and relatives, as the work is done closely with the patient with various nursing tasks based on their needs. Your tasks include documentation, ward rounds, medication management, and supervision of students based on a peer-learning method. You will work for high patient safety through collaboration with both colleagues and patients. As Helsingborg operates university hospital care, there are also good opportunities to conduct your own research. The organization has its own research network that meets regularly.

To help you settle into your role as smoothly as possible, we offer an introduction tailored to your skills and experiences. We also value professional development and therefore offer continuous training, both internally and externally.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You also have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale. It is strongly meritorious if you have a specialist education in psychiatry. Previous experience in adult psychiatry is also an advantage.

As a person, you are empathetic, responsive, and responsible with a very good approach towards both patients and colleagues. You have a high readiness for action and a structured way of working and have the ability to make independent decisions when necessary. At the same time, you are a team player who enjoys working in a team and is happy to share your knowledge and experiences. Through your engagement and constructive approach, you contribute to our good working climate. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
