About the Role and Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a study and career counselor at Gunnesboskolan and Lerbäckskolan.

We need a substitute for 20-40% for one to three months in the spring of 2026.

As a study and career counselor, you contribute to providing students with increased knowledge and understanding of themselves, their opportunities, and their choices. You are a support for students and guardians and are part of the student health team, as well as supporting other staff in initiatives related to study and career guidance. You work with students individually and in groups through guidance and motivating, forward-looking conversations.

Your duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating activities related to study and career guidance, informing, coordinating, and organizing work experience in grade 8, as well as being responsible for the process surrounding students' high school choices. As a study and career counselor, you work independently while having close collaboration with internal and external contacts, such as study and career counselors, the High School Admissions Office, high schools, and the business community. You will also systematize activities that strengthen children's and students' motivation for learning and enhance students' decision-making skills for further studies and career choices.

We are looking for you

To succeed in the role of study and career counselor with us, you should have completed a study and career counseling degree or be at the end of your education, preferably with previous experience in the field.

You need to be driven, able to think broadly and see issues from different perspectives, and be flexible and open to working with our students' best interests in mind. We appreciate a relational approach. You find it easy to meet other people and have a willingness and interest in creating and maintaining good contact with students, parents, and colleagues. To thrive with us, it is important that you have a genuine interest in other people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Your collaboration skills are deeply connected to your ability to work together and participate in your and the organization's development. With us, this means having good cooperation with your manager and colleagues. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and quality. You take responsibility for being involved in organizational matters and are solution-oriented.

About the Workplace

Lerbäckskolan is located in central Lund, just a few minutes' walk from Lund Station. We have approximately 900 students and around 100 employees.

Gunnesboskolan is a primary school in the northwestern part of Lund. The number of students at the school is about 620, with approximately 280 in grades 7-9. This workplace is a place where people enjoy working and tend to stay for a long time.
