About the position
In the role of DevOps Specialist, you will work to automate and streamline development and operational processes for IT systems that support power system analysis, operational planning, and the development of the Swedish power system. The role combines operational work with the development of working methods, focusing on stable, secure, and reproducible deliveries in a mission-critical environment.
The position involves, among other things, that you:
- Automate configuration management and deployment of applications
- Install and configure systems in a reproducible and secure manner
- Support development teams during deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Work with logging, monitoring, and observability
- Collaborate with system owners, development teams, platform, infrastructure, and IT security
You will have the opportunity to help shape the DevOps work in a section where the role is new within the team. The organization is growing, and there is room to influence both technical solutions and working methods.
As a DevOps Specialist, you belong to the Analysis Applications B unit within the IT department for Power Systems & Electricity Market. The unit is responsible for system support used for analysis, planning, and operation of the Swedish power system and electricity market. You will work together with system owners in a team responsible for purchased systems and support the cross-functional development teams.
About you
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and results-oriented, with good collaboration skills. You take responsibility for your tasks and work methodically to drive work forward. These qualities are important as the role involves working with automation and close collaboration with system owners, development teams, and other IT functions.
You should also adhere to the state value framework. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Furthermore, you have a degree in IT or another relevant education, or equivalent skills acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent.
You also have several years of experience in:
- IT infrastructure, such as operating systems, container platforms, databases, storage, networks, and security solutions
- Deployment and troubleshooting on Linux and/or Windows of applications written in, for example, C++, C#, and/or Python
- Configuration automation with tools such as Ansible
- Scripting with tools such as Bash, Powershell, and/or Python
- Configuration of monitoring, observability, log management with tools such as OP5, Loki, Grafana, and/or Prometheus
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
We consider it an advantage if you have experience in:
- Containers and orchestration, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman
- CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, Argo CD, Artifactory, JFrog Xray, or SonarQube
- System development or test automation in C++, C#, or Python
- Working in environments with high IT security requirements
- Working in agile teams, preferably in a leading technical role
