We are expanding and changing our operations within foster care to create the best conditions for children and youth who need to be placed outside their own home.

In the unit, there are seven child caseworkers, seven foster care caseworkers, one recruiter, and two family therapists. You will work together with the team for the best interests of placed children and youth. We warmly welcome your application!

The role of a child caseworker with us

As a child caseworker, you will follow up on the care of our foster care placed children and youth according to SoL and LVU. The role also includes some investigative work based on incoming reports, requests for LVU care termination, and custody transfers. We work based on BBIC and the age range is 0–20 years.

The work includes meetings with children and youth and their guardians as well as foster homes. The work is varied, and one day is rarely like the other. Some days involve meetings at the workplace, while other days involve visits to foster homes or with other partners, such as schools and healthcare. You will have close collaboration with your colleagues, with whom you plan your follow-ups and often travel together.

Your profile

To thrive in this role, you need to be secure in your professional role with a good ability to work both in a team and independently. You enjoy collaboration within your own workgroup and also see the importance of close cooperation with your colleagues, who together with you and the foster home make a difference for the placed children.

You are calm, stable, and have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. We believe you are flexible but also have a good understanding of the importance of structure. For us, it is a given that you have a professional demeanor and understand the importance of good collaboration with everyone around the children. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

has a degree in social work
has experience in investigative work and authority exercise regarding children and youth.
has a B driver's license

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening work and travel may occur.
