At Hässleholm Hospital, there is a strong operation in internal medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and rehabilitation medicine. In connection with a reorganization for increased quality and accessibility, we are streamlining our assignments and will open a new team focused on orthopedic rehabilitation from May 2026. The rehabilitation medicine department offers orthopedic inpatient rehabilitation for adult patients with acute orthopedic conditions of a non-surgical nature where coordinated rehabilitation efforts are needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant, you have a central and significant role in the rehabilitation work. Together with the team, you work to promote the patient's recovery, independence, and participation in everyday life. You are responsible, together with the nurse, for ensuring that the care is of high quality and based on individual rehabilitation plans. The work includes support in daily activities, mobilization, and observation and reporting of the patient's condition.

You work closely with an interdisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, orthopedic engineers or technicians, pharmacists, and medical secretaries. Coordinators and SVU coordinators provide support in daily operations and contribute to safe and well-planned discharges. You actively participate in rounds, planning, and team meetings and are an important link in creating cohesive and person-centered care for both patients and relatives.

The operation offers continuous professional development through the department's educational nursing assistant and the hospital's educational unit. You will become part of a stable team with a culture characterized by collaboration, participation, and respect. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. Experience in acute care, internal medicine, orthopedics, or rehabilitation medicine is an advantage but not a requirement.

You thrive in teamwork, take responsibility, and have the ability to adapt your working methods according to the patient's needs and changing situations in everyday life. If you have not received your proof of a protected professional title, you must attach your grades (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education. If you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, and lack proof, attach your certificate of employment and your grades (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education. If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a care assistant on a temporary basis, pending the proof.
