Tullverket is looking for a Security Officer with a focus on Information Security

Tullverket actively works to create conditions for and develop security within its operations. The Administrative Department plays a central role in this development.

The Security and Preparedness Unit of Tullverket leads, coordinates, and controls Tullverket's operational protection, security protection, signal protection, preparedness, and civil defense.

The Security and Preparedness Unit currently consists of 18 employees and is led by Tullverket's Chief Security Officer.

About the Position

In this role, you will act as a Security Officer with a focus on information security, but also as an Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator - IDK for several operations within the authority.

IDK reports to and supports information owners in information security and data protection.

The work involves participating in various relevant forums and representing your information owners towards both internal and external stakeholders.

IDK also provides the opportunity for the own operation to influence the overall information security and data protection work and to spread knowledge within the operation.

IDK will collaborate with information security specialists, IT security managers, data protection officers, personal data coordinators, and experts in data protection from the legal department outside the own operation.

The work may also involve tasks related to the management support of information owners.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, among other things, in information security and data protection matters:

  • Advising and supporting information owners
  • Advising, supporting, and training relevant departments and units
  • Planning, coordinating, and following up work in accordance with regulations and internal governing documents
  • Assisting in the development of risk analyses and impact assessments
  • Being cohesive and supporting information classification
  • Supporting information owners in investigating personal data and information security incidents and assisting in reporting to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection
  • Developing and managing department-specific rules and routines for secure information handling

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in security, data protection, or another education deemed equivalent by Tullverket
  • Experience working with information security or related tasks
  • Practical experience in developing an organization's information security work in accordance with established standards, e.g., ISO/IEC 27000 series, at both strategic and operational levels
  • Experience coordinating and implementing information and training initiatives
  • Experience leading work with risk analyses and information classification
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of the Office suite

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in conducting information security work within sensitive operations
  • Experience with agile work and methodologies
  • Legal expertise
  • Driver's license, class B.

The position may involve travel within Sweden.

Employment form: The employment is a permanent position and begins with a 6-month probationary period, and individual salary setting applies.

We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. Before a hiring decision is made, you will undergo a drug test and background check. Security clearance with a register check according to the Security Protection Act will be conducted before employment, as the position is placed in a security class. Tullverket is a total defense authority, and upon employment, you may be assigned to Tullverket in times of war.
