About the job

You will help develop the Swedish Tax Agency's national security work, together with your colleagues. Your work may consist of training initiatives as well as the development of security protection analyses. You will work on the development and application of policies and guidelines for operational protection, as well as security protection legislation. The work is conducted based on the Swedish Tax Agency's security governance.

The Swedish Tax Agency leads the emergency sector, supply of basic data, and is part of the emergency sector for economic security. The authorities in the sector work together in various working groups to enhance capabilities within civil defense. You will contribute directly to this work through your role as a security specialist in physical security at the security unit.

You contribute to ensuring that the Swedish Tax Agency has security at the right level in relation to the risks that exist considering the development of operations and changes in the external environment. In your work, you collaborate with operations throughout the Swedish Tax Agency. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure. Your office location will be somewhere where the Swedish Tax Agency has operations.

You will belong to the security unit, which has around 70 employees distributed across five sections. The security unit's responsibilities include information security, physical protection, crisis preparedness, security protection, access control, incident management, security advice, employee protection, and internal investigations. The unit is led by the Swedish Tax Agency's security manager, who is also the security protection manager.

Main tasks

  • Participate in national and regional property projects within the Swedish Tax Agency
  • Requirement specification and follow-up of regulatory compliance in the area
  • Conduct and participate in risk analyses
  • Method and process development in close collaboration with others within the Swedish Tax Agency
  • Follow-up control visits of suppliers
  • Analysis and specification of physical security requirements prior to procurement
  • Handle external and internal referrals within the security area
  • Develop and conduct internal security training
  • Work to enhance the Swedish Tax Agency's preparedness work within physical protection

About you

You should also have:

  • a relevant academic degree or post-secondary education in the security field or equivalent and relevant experience in security work at an authority or larger organization
  • at least 3 years of current experience working with security protection and physical protection at a strategic level
  • knowledge of the security protection law and work with guidelines, routines, and instructions within physical security
  • good knowledge of security work with protected buildings and experience in follow-up work and regulatory compliance within physical security
  • good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as the work requires you to draft official decisions and documents
  • good computer skills, for example within the Office suite and virtual meetings remotely

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the security protection law (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
