Workplace

At the Economic Crime Authority's headquarters, the Security Unit is responsible for the agency's security work. This includes security protection, i.e., personnel security, information security, and physical security, employee protection, signal protection, continuity and crisis preparedness work, as well as work with total defense, which also falls within the unit's mission. IT security and cybersecurity issues are handled in close collaboration with the agency's IT unit.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of security officer, your primary task will be to:

• provide advice and support to managers and employees in security and crisis preparedness issues
• act as the Security Unit's contact point for the Economic Crime Authority's local offices in Umeå and Sundsvall.
• conduct certain training in the security area
• manage local security matters within all security areas
• handle incidents

This is a broad role where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues in the Security Unit and the operations, will handle security issues across all areas of security. In addition to your responsibility for local security in Umeå and Sundsvall, you will spend the remaining time working with a specific security area as your main focus. Travel between Umeå and Sundsvall, as well as within Sweden, is included in the job. It may also be relevant to join the unit's 24/7 preparedness, about one week every other month.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• post-secondary education in security and/or crisis preparedness, or equivalent knowledge or experience that the employer deems relevant
• at least three years of current experience in crisis preparedness and/or security work
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• broad experience in security work in the public sector
• broad experience in crisis preparedness work within one of the preparedness authorities
• experience in teamwork
• experience in conducting security clearance interviews
• experience in training within a security area
• good knowledge of civil defense within total defense
• knowledge of the Economic Crime Authority's mission

You can independently plan, execute, and complete your work. You work in a structured manner and prioritize and delineate your work based on the assignment. In the role, you will handle various types of issues and have many points of contact, so it is crucial that you have a good ability to communicate with others and can handle people under pressure or in vulnerable situations well. This position requires a high level of confidentiality awareness.

Employment Information

Employment type: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period
Work location: Umeå or Sundsvall, business travel and preparedness may occur.
