You will be part of a Bioscience Immunology team within Research and Early Development, Respiratory & Immunology. The role focuses on in vitro studies and ex vivo analyses of mouse cells targeting inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The Respiratory & Immunology area is one of the organization's core therapeutic areas, aiming to understand, treat, modify, and ultimately cure respiratory and autoimmune diseases. This assignment is suitable for those who want to work closely with research, contribute to drug development, and be involved in generating robust, publishable scientific results.
Your Responsibilities 🔍In this role, you will plan, conduct, and analyze in vitro and ex vivo experiments that support drug development projects. You will actively contribute to scientific discussions regarding study design and data interpretation, as well as present results, conclusions, and recommendations in project and team forums. The work is practical and hands-on, where you perform analyses related to preclinical studies in close collaboration with other researchers. You are responsible for ensuring the highest quality regarding data integrity, quality assurance, and archiving, as well as compiling reports and scientific summaries.
Your Profile / Mandatory Competencies ✅Master's degree in biology or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in flow cytometry (FACS) on mouse material, including organ preparation, digestion, staining, and antibody panel design
Good familiarity with BD FACSDiva instruments and analysis in FlowJo
Ability to independently plan, conduct, and analyze protein assays such as ELISA, Western blot, and Meso Scale Discovery
Experience with RNA work including extraction and qRT-PCR
Understanding of statistics, data quality, reporting, and archiving
Very good English skills in both spoken and written form, along with strong presentation skills
PhD in immunology
Deep understanding of autoimmune diseases, particularly in gastrointestinal, skin, or joint immunology
Experience with in vivo models for inflammation and autoimmunity
Experience with cell isolation and sorting, e.g., MACS, StemCell Technologies, and FACS-based sorting
Experience with cell culture and in vitro assays with murine leukocytes
You are analytical, meticulous, and have a strong scientific drive. You enjoy practical laboratory work but also appreciate discussing data and conclusions in a group. You work in a structured manner, take great responsibility for quality and delivery, and find it easy to communicate complex results clearly.
Language 🌍Very good English skills in both spoken and written form.
