About Beyond Gravity

At Beyond Gravity in Gothenburg, approximately 200 people work on the development and manufacturing of advanced equipment for use in space. Our main products are computers for launch vehicles and satellites, microwave electronics for telecom satellites, and antennas for communication between various satellites as well as between satellites and Earth.

Your Mission

We are now looking for an experienced layout designer with specialist expertise in PCB layout. You will be part of a team within the “Electronics” area that works with both digital circuit boards and power designs. We primarily use Siemens Xpedition as our tool.

As a layout specialist, you are a dynamic engineer with innovative thinking and are motivated to develop products for use in space.

The engineering department in Gothenburg consists of around 60 employees plus consultants, working in several different areas of expertise within electronics development. You will be part of a smaller layout team that takes joint responsibility for the layout of their products, and you work closely with the design team that delivers the circuit board design to the layout team. Your team is responsible for its layout, budget, schedule, and handovers, which is reflected in good planning, proactivity, and adherence to schedule and budget. As a layout engineer, you are also responsible for tool development, production documentation, and communication with PCB manufacturers. If necessary, you also solve tasks that lie outside your own area of expertise.

Our engineering teams collaborate across countries to find synergies and share experiences and knowledge. Constantly seeking improvements and being part of future development is an important part of your work.

This position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Your Story

• At least five years of experience in PCB layout with extensive experience in Siemens Xpedition.
• Well-versed in modern methods in the field, e.g., regarding the layout of high-speed designs, power applications, and signal integrity.
• Good understanding of adjacent areas such as hardware design, mechanical design, and production.
• Enjoy working together in a team around a common task.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Creative and solution-oriented.
• Willing and able to independently take on new tasks outside of your core expertise.
• Strong ability to make engineering trade-offs to move forward in your tasks.
