We are looking for an experienced Business Controller for a larger company undergoing an organizational change where the Business Control responsibility for several central support functions will be consolidated into a new group. Ahead of this transition, there is a need for a consulting assignment focusing on mapping, standardization, and handover of Business Control processes.

The assignment encompasses several group-wide functions, such as procurement, real estate-related issues, CFO support, shared service finance, as well as legal and other support functions. Current working methods within areas such as closing, follow-up, business planning, and forecasting will be analyzed and documented.

The goal is to simplify and harmonize the processes ahead of the takeover, reduce resource dependence, and enable increased system support. The consultant will contribute operationally to parts of the delivery while also driving the change process. When the assignment is completed, the new working methods should be clearly documented, and knowledge transferred to the receiving organization.

Role Description

In this role, you will be responsible for creating a clear current state picture, driving a more standardized and efficient working method, and ensuring documentation and handover. The role involves close dialogue with managers and decision-makers and requires experience in communicating Business Control-related issues at a senior level.

• Map existing Business Control processes and deliveries
• Gather needs and requirements from responsible managers within the relevant functions
• Develop proposals for future working methods focusing on standardization and efficiency
• Drive the change process in collaboration with the responsible manager for the receiving organization
• Combine operational work with analysis and development of processes
• Document working methods, responsibilities, and flows
• Ensure structured knowledge transfer to internal resources

Competence Requirements

• Senior experience in Business Controlling
• Experience in leading or driving change and development projects

Meritorious

• Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP
• Experience with analysis and reporting platforms
• Experience with BI tools, such as Power BI

• Independent and confident in taking responsibility
• Solution-oriented with the ability to see the big picture
• Driven and accustomed to taking ownership of delivery
