Kriminalvården is looking for an expert for the management

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and are now seeking more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, community service, remand facilities, and client transport.

The management office provides support for the management and works across the agency. The support section works with administration, expert support/advice, documentation, preparation, and coordination of various issues concerning the management. We are responsible for contacts with the government office, ensuring that there is a quality-assured process for the director general's decisions, and are responsible for cross-agency environmental analysis, organizational development, and certain assignments. The work often takes place in close collaboration with other parts of the headquarters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an expert, you will provide support to the management, primarily for the director general. The assignment includes, among other things, being responsible for planning, preparation, message formulation, as well as quality assurance and writing documentation for the management's various commitments. You will regularly accompany on trips and meetings, mainly within Sweden.

You will also assist in contacts with the government office at the civil servant level. The assignment is broad and may, if necessary, include other tasks such as investigating and analyzing various issues, participating in cross-agency assignments, and assisting with text production. You are also expected, together with colleagues, to contribute to the development of support for the management during a very expansive time for Kriminalvården.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in areas such as political science, economics, law, criminology, or other education combined with relevant experience
• Experience working in a supportive role for management functions within politically governed operations
• Experience in producing and processing written documentation of good quality
• Good IT skills, Microsoft Office
• Very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• Very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in English

It is advantageous if you have:

• A higher degree in one of the above areas
• Experience from public administration and its decision-making processes
• Experience in press or communications work
• Experience in investigative or analytical work
• Experience in environmental monitoring
