Are you a student in the biomedical analyst program or newly graduated and looking for a summer job? Then Clinical Chemistry, Central Laboratory at Karolinska has an important, varied, and fun summer job with tasks that truly make a difference! We welcome your application.

About the Position

We are a multidisciplinary laboratory striving to provide the best service. We perform highly specialized analyses and the work is conducted using modern techniques.

The operations are located at six acute hospitals within the Stockholm region:

The 24/7 operations are divided into different areas: customer/pre-analysis, general and immunochemistry, hematology, coagulation, other chemistry, and microbiology. Some of the 24/7 units also include transfusion medicine and sample collection centers.

The 9Five operations are divided into areas: Chromatography, DNA, Protein, HbA1c/Hb, immunochemistry, coagulation.

The pre-analytical unit is a multidisciplinary sample reception handling various types of samples. The work is performed, among other things, with the help of sorting and collaborative robots.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Biomedical analyst student who has completed at least semester 2 by summer 2026 or other higher education deemed relevant by the employer
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, level C

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in a clinical chemistry laboratory

To be considered for a summer position with us at Clinical Chemistry, we prefer that you work at least 8 weeks, including weeks 28–32. Greater availability increases your chances of employment.

About the Recruitment Process
