We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a school nurse at our school. Our current school nurse will reduce her hours, and we wish to find a colleague for her part-time.

In the role of school nurse, you primarily work in a health-promoting and preventive manner. The overall goal is for all students to have the opportunity to meet the approved knowledge requirements in school. As a school nurse, you are part of a comprehensive student health team at the school and have close collaboration with the school doctor, special educator, special teacher, psychologist, counselor, assistant principals, and principal. A comprehensive student health service should support students' development towards the educational goals. The school nurse's duties include standard school nurse tasks that are essential parts of the above work. Health visits and the open clinic are important parts of ensuring that each student receives the support they need in school. Other tasks include vaccinations according to the general vaccination program.

Your Profile

You should be a licensed nurse with specialist training in health and medical care for children and adolescents or open health and medical care. Previous experience working with children and adolescents and as a school nurse is considered an advantage. The work requires good computer skills. As a person, you should be structured and meticulous, enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, and be somewhat of an entrepreneur, someone who enjoys creating and taking initiative. You have a strong drive for health-promoting work, to create a school environment that is positive, tolerant, and safe, and to continuously work together to build good relationships at all levels.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months (provided you meet the School Law's requirements for eligibility). Scope 20-40%. Opportunity for both vacation and leave of absence. Start date according to agreement (preferably after the summer vacation).
