The Södermalm district administration is one of Stockholm's 11 district administrations and includes the neighborhoods of Södermalm, Reimersholme, Långholmen, Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen, and Hammarby Sjöstad.

Södertjänst is the municipal home care provider in Södermalm. We now need to recruit positive, engaged, and knowledgeable employees for day, evening, and night shifts this summer. Södertjänst offers a varied job in a pleasant and well-organized work environment in beautiful Södermalm. We assist approximately 630 users based on our premises on Folkskolegatan and Bondegatan. Our clients are primarily elderly individuals but also people under 65 years with illness or disabilities. Södertjänst aims to provide assessed support services with good quality.

Your role

You will provide good care and social support to the client based on the assessment decisions from the Ordering Unit. The client's participation and self-determination are the focus to create security and enable them to stay in their homes. As an employee of Södertjänst, you will work to see the individual and be a support in daily life to promote the functional ability of each person. Assisting with social contacts, communicating with relatives, and writing social documentation are also part of your role as an employee at Södertjänst.

Your qualifications and experience

We prefer that you have a high school education in nursing programs, health care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You should have a genuine interest in helping other people. Being service-oriented, having good collaboration skills, being self-driven, flexible, and able to handle occasional stress are necessary for you to work with us at Södertjänst. You must be able to value differences and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect you and others in various ways. We would like you to share your own knowledge and experiences and be open to learning from others. Having a positive attitude and being loyal to clients, colleagues, and the employer is important to us at Södertjänst.

It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

If you have experience in home care and knowledge and experience in documentation, it is an advantage.

• The need for substitutes is greatest between June 24 and August 18, 2026
• Night substitutes must have a driver's license and driving experience.
• Part-time or full-time substitutes are offered.
