Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged research engineer with documented experience in virology and analysis of gene regulation.

You will participate in a project where cellular responses to pathogens are characterized, and where the regulation of RNA synthesis in hosts and viruses is monitored with high precision during infection. Job responsibilities include culturing virus-infected human cells in BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories, collecting protein, DNA, and RNA samples, as well as preparing and analyzing sequencing libraries. You will also participate in the further development of molecular methods that enable simultaneous measurements of gene expression mechanisms in hosts and viruses.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Completed degree at the undergraduate or graduate level (higher education) in a relevant field or equivalent competence.
• Completed MSc degree in life sciences, such as cell biology, molecular biology, or virology.
• Diverse laboratory experience with cell and molecular biology techniques.
• Documented experience with culturing virus-infected cells in BSL3.
• Documented experience with RNA synthesis analysis.
• Documented experience with preparing sequencing libraries.
