Job description

In your role as a nurse, you will plan, lead, and perform specific surgical nursing work. You will continuously work with observations, be responsible for pre- and postoperative care, pain relief, palliative care, and ensure that the patient is optimized before surgery. Your duties will also include making independent assessments and leading the nursing team. During the day, there are support functions such as care coordinators, bed coordinators, stoma nurses, and pharmacists.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse. Previous experience in surgical care is an advantage.

About the operation

The area of Surgery and Urology conducts both acute and elective surgery and urology as well as surgical operations in outpatient and inpatient care around the clock. We treat and care for patients primarily from Stockholm County, but also from outside the county and foreign patients with surgical or urological diseases. Patients are taken care of at several different specialist clinics, two operating rooms, and four wards with different profile areas; colorectal surgery, surgery in the upper gastrointestinal tract, obesity surgery, and liver tumors as well as urology. About 460 employees work here.
