ST Doctor for Radiology Department

About the Position

As an ST doctor with us, you will have good access to supervision, close collaboration with colleagues in radiology and other parts of the hospital, as well as a good atmosphere in the workgroup. As an ST doctor in the radiology clinic, you will have an exciting and developing job where you are part of about 7 specialists and 2 other ST doctors focused on diagnostics interpreting X-ray images from the Skeleton Lab, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and performing ultrasound examinations. We highly value each other's professional development and prioritize continuous education and growth. You will be part of the ST radiologist network within Region Stockholm, where you participate in courses approved according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's goals for ST doctors in radiology. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive ST education where you can develop and become a skilled, independent general radiologist with a high level of knowledge. The start date is negotiable.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Working with common tasks and training for ST doctors within the framework of the requirements for specialist competence in radiology
• Interpreting X-ray images from the Skeleton Lab
• Fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and performing ultrasound examinations
• Participating in the training and supervision of doctors in training
• Being part of the ST radiologist network in Region Stockholm

You will have access to regular internal training at the clinic and the hospital's joint training as well as within and outside the region throughout the year. You will gain experience in all areas of radiology. We have recently quality-assured our ST education and are investing in our ST doctors. About You

For this position, you need:

• Licensed doctor who has completed AT/BT with approved license in Sweden.
• Good Swedish in spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience working in radiology
• Work experience within Swedish healthcare
• Knowledge of RIS and PACS

Since the work in radiology involves close collaboration with both colleagues in radiology and other medical specialties, your ability to collaborate is crucial.

About Us

In radiology, we are over 30 employees consisting of radiology nurses, medical secretaries, radiologists, and nursing assistants. We operate around the clock, receiving a mix of acute and elective patients from both inpatient and outpatient care. On average, we perform about 40,000 radiological examinations per year.

At night, two radiology nurses work, and a radiologist is on call. The radiologists have a workstation at home to quickly assess the X-ray images. Between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, all acute computed tomography examinations are reviewed by an external remote review unit.
