Department 21 - Nurse in Psychosocial Care
Department 21 is a unit within Psychosocial Care Stockholm (PSV) and is centrally located in Kungsholmen, S:t Görans hospital area.
Description
We are a specialized unit caring for patients aged 18 to 35 who are experiencing their first episode of a psychotic disorder.
The focus is on comprehensive assessment, treatment, and planning in collaboration with patients and their relatives. We place great importance on the involvement of patients and their relatives (e.g., patient forums, relative education, and crisis intervention) and maintain close cooperation with care neighbors and especially outpatient care.
The unit has 12 + 1 care places, and we can offer a calm and comfortable environment in accordance with our care program. One care place is reserved for self-selected admission.
Half of the unit's staff are nurses, and the department is well-staffed. This allows for quality in nursing work, planning, and good collegial support. Many of your future colleagues have worked long at the department. We can offer a good introduction, support from experienced colleagues, and good opportunities for short-notice leave.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a team of caregivers, doctors, occupational therapists, and social workers. As a nurse with us, you will be responsible for leading the nursing work in the care team/primary group. You will also collaborate with outpatient care, other care neighbors, and relatives for the patient's continued care after discharge.
Qualifications
Licensed nurse with a genuine interest in helping people with psychiatric problems. Previous experience in psychiatric care or specialized training in psychiatry is an advantage but not a requirement.
You are a positive person who enjoys collaborating with different staff categories, but also working independently. You thrive in a varied work environment and have a flexible mindset with the ability to improvise. You do not need to be fully trained, but you want to develop in your role.
Conditions
Full-time, permanent. Start date according to agreement.
Your benefits with us include:
- Customized onboarding at the workplace
- Opportunities for development work in the department/section
- Flexible hours
- Preferred schedule – working 2 weekends out of 5, day and evening shifts
- Professional development
- Wellness hour and wellness allowance of 5000 SEK
- Free outpatient healthcare
Welcome to submit your application! The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
