Blomsterfonden – for a safer and richer life for the elderly

Blomsterfonden is a non-profit organization that works to ensure that the elderly have a safe home, professional care, and a meaningful everyday life.

We operate five senior residences with vibrant social communities, our own home care services, and four nursing homes where safe care is the focus. Our goal is to provide elderly people with a richer life – filled with community, care, and joy. Our work is permeated by our ethical values: humanity, participation, clarity, and honesty.

The association was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a special spirit emerged – the Blomsterfonden spirit – which still characterizes our operations today. We continue Alma's work by cherishing what is at the core of every human life: recognizing the individual's capacity, will, and emotional life.

Blomsterfonden also actively works to support relatives. We organize and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about the needs and living conditions of the elderly.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want a developing and rewarding summer job? We are looking for someone who wants to provide care and support to our elderly this summer. We prefer that you have previous experience in care work. If you are studying in a healthcare profession or have a protected title as a nursing assistant, this is an advantage. The work is scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. In the care work at Blomsterfonden, you will work closely with the residents, which requires a great interest in people. The tasks involve creating a meaningful existence for our residents, providing service and support with personal care, personal hygiene, dressing, bed-making, responding to alarms, and assisting during meals.

Documentation requirements in the social journal with journal notes in the app on the work phone. There is an opportunity to start a fixed-term employment soon with duration over the summer.

Qualifications

To work with us this summer, you must be 18 years old. You are an independent and responsible person with a pleasant demeanor. Education in care and support is an advantage. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as computer skills.
