The Family Law in Northern Skaraborg consists of the municipalities of Mariestad, Töreboda, Gullspång, Karlsborg, and Tibro, with Mariestad as the host municipality. This means that residents in all municipalities turn to the family law in Mariestad. The working group consists of four family law secretaries and a unit manager at 35%. All employees are social workers. The family law belongs to Ifo, the unit for family support, and is located at Maria Nova in central Mariestad.

As one of our employees moves on to another assignment with us, we are now looking for a family law secretary who wants to help continue developing family law in Northern Skaraborg.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of family law secretary, you will conduct investigations and inquiries on behalf of the court in custody, residence, and visitation matters. You will also handle collaboration and information meetings, establish legally binding agreements between parents, and conduct paternity/parenting investigations. Family law advice is also part of the job. You will also conduct investigations regarding custody transfers.

Our meetings with citizens primarily take place physically in Mariestad, with the possibility of digital meetings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a trained social worker and have a B driver's license. We prefer that you have previous work experience in family law or the social services' child and youth unit.

You should have an easy time communicating, collaborating, and building trust. To ensure a legally secure handling, it is important that you have a clear child focus, possess good analytical skills, and can express yourself well in writing. You are also responsible and have a good ability to structure your work.
