JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our team. The work as a social worker in the Adult Unit involves qualified investigation and follow-up responsibilities aimed at achieving change directed towards adults with substance abuse issues or co-occurring disorders. We meet individuals with special lifestyles and unique experiences who are on their way to new ways of managing their lives. You could be the one who guides them in that change.

As a social worker, you will assess needs based on applications or reports, decide on or propose decisions regarding suitable interventions. You will follow up on the interventions where the long-term goal is to strengthen each person's ability to manage their issues and live an independent life. You are also the person's support in seeking help from healthcare and other stakeholders to ensure that each person receives coordinated and adequate interventions. Our work is characterized by trust in the individual's ability to develop and that goals for change can be achieved with the right support at the right time.

You will have access to the municipality's outpatient care services, which consist of a social medical reception where outpatient treatment can be obtained, Åbacka crafts and gardens offering rehabilitative activities, various social housing forms, housing support, and the opportunity for good and close collaboration with other stakeholders. We collaborate with the City Mission in Gothenburg regarding Housing First.

We have a good and close collaboration within our workgroup and within our organization at IFO, and our work climate is characterized by camaraderie and humor. We work in the Lifecare operational system and use ASI as an investigation method.

You will be part of an engaged and experienced workgroup consisting of a senior social worker, four social workers, a VIN coordinator, four therapists, and three individuals working with housing issues. We are a workgroup interested in value foundations for our work as well as quality and method development. Therefore, we offer professional development that matches the requirements of the position and the development needs of the workgroup. We participate in the Professional Journey regarding dependency.

The group has shared process supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying for the position have a degree in social work or another relevant higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Experience working with the target group and in authority-exercising work is meritorious.

You are used to working solution-focused and have a positive attitude. You see the value of collaborating with others to ensure that each person has access to the right support in their unique situation.

A valid driver's license is required.
